Back in Saratoga for another concert, and stopped into Darla on a night they are open for dinner. We had the Salmon tartare, chicken karaage, corn ribs, bulgogi tacos (sans cilantro), and cocktails and sake. Flawless flavors and presentation! We had the old fashioned, the nebula and the stardust fizz cocktails. All were quite lovely and balanced. We were convinced the nebula was going to be too sweet, but it was really delicious and not at all sweet. Assuming you don't go straight for the cotton candy garnish. Service was helpful and fun, and we came in before the dinner rush, so it was quiet and pleasant. Musicians were setting up as we left, so that might be a thing on Saturday nights. Definitely coming back on future date nights. Wholeheartedly recommended, and we will be back for the breakfast / brunch fare!

FLAVOR (4/5): Got the Darla french toast which seems to be a popular dish here! The toast was super soft and the caramel sauce tied it together. I appreciated how much fruit they gave on the plate. Definitely unless you have a sweet tooth you might not be able to finish it all in one seating. INSTAGRAM WORTHY (5/5): The cafe itself is super clean and cute! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The plates and drinks came out very aesthetically plated. SERVICE (4/5): Came in at 10AM on a Sunday and there was barely anyone in there, maybe only 3 tables! But when we left around 12PM there was a bit of a waiting for a table. Service is definitely on the slower side for them to come around to your table. They do refill waters often which was nice! TAKEAWAYS: I would come back to try their dinner / lunch menu. Cute spot to go on a date for or with the girls! Plenty of street parking available in downtown Saratoga.

Service was so friendly and sweet! We made a reservation for a Saturday night but ended up not needing it as there was plenty of space available. It was very quiet inside, but the decor was cute and modern - a very aesthetically pleasing space! I tried the Duck Confit and a hot Thai Tea Latte with oat milk. The latte was a little gritty, so while the flavor and warmth were pleasant, I don't think I'd order it again. The duck confit was super interesting as I'd never had one before! It definitely had a fusion vibe to it, where it didn't feel super French, but had an Asian flair to it. I don't love orange peel, so the candied orange on top wasn't my personal favorite, but I do know that's a key component of the dish, so I wasn't mad at it. I would say that the dish was overly salty, but otherwise, was pleasant to eat.

I recently visited a delightful brunch spot that truly charmed me with its unique decor and warm atmosphere. Nestled in a lovely neighborhood, this cafe boasts a welcoming vibe that's hard to find elsewhere. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, adding to the already pleasant experience. We odered benedict with sausage, berry pancakes, and a seafood porridge. Each dish was not only delicious but also generously portioned--so much so that the three of us couldn't finish everything! I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great meal in a charming setting.
